A Double Rainbow – Asher James Immel

It brings us great joy to announce the arrival of our second rainbow baby, Asher James Immel.  On October 29, 2019, we welcomed our 7 lb 11 oz, 20-inch-long bundle of joy.  Max is beyond obsessed with his new built-in best friend, and Warren and I are enjoying every sleepless second with sweet Asher James.  UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_61fc.jpgUNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_61dd.jpg

We still wonder what life would have been like had we not lost our firstborn, Isaac, and not a day goes by where we don’t think of him.  However, watching Max as he has grown into the sweetest and craziest toddler and, now, a big brother, has brought so much happiness into our lives.  There was a time where I never would have believed life could be so full of light and love again, yet here we are.  Asher is so tiny and loveable and the two boys together are an adventure I never thought I’d have the fortune to experience.

As little sense as it may make, a piece of my heart will always be missing, but right now my heart is so full.

A Baby Brother for Isaac – Max Sanford Immel

On September 15, 2017, at 3:43 AM, we welcomed Max Sanford Immel into our family.   He made his appearance a whole three weeks early, weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long.

He came home wearing a tribute to his big brother, Isaac.  Since elephants have always been Isaac’s “thing” it seemed only right that he’d be looking out for little Max.  IMG_3556.jpg

We’ll never stop missing Isaac or wondering what he’d be like today.  We’ll never forget our precious moments with him.  However, having our living, breathing rainbow baby home safely has most certainly brought joy, happiness and hope back into our lives.

Max, you are perfect.  Mommy and daddy can’t wait to see the boy and man you grow up to be and to tell you about your big brother, Isaac, who would have loved you oh so much.Rainbow Baby
